Jean Patou, Paul Poiret and Doucet were all French fashion designers.
“The Card Players” This painting, by the French Post-Impressionist artist Paul Cézanne , 1890-92,  is one in a series of five oil paintings each called “The Card Players” . One version of “The Card Players” was sold in 2011 to the Royal Family of Qatar for a price variously estimated at between $250 million and $300 million, making it the most expensive work of art.

“The Cheat with the Ace of Diamonds”  by Georges de la Tour,   1635

The “Dogs playing Poker” wall hanging is in the style of a series of oil paintings by American Cassius Marcellus Coolidge. "Dogs Playing Poker" is a famous 1903 oil painting by Cassius Marcellus Coolidge depicting anthropomorphic dogs around a card table. Commissioned to advertise cigars, the painting, along with its series of similar works, is known for its charmingly satirical style, with precise details of dog expressions, clothing, and human-like mannerisms that create a humorous, sophisticated, and kitschy aesthetic.
Donated by Janet Cuttle.

On the concrete block wall, seen from inside the club rooms, is a painting of a hand of cards. Painted by Mary Buckland, a member of the club.
